Piera Fileccia, MD

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Dermatology and Venereology at theCatholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.

She worked as a dermatologist at IDI Hospital in Rome, later becoming medical director of IDI Farmaceutici. During the company work period, she deepened her knowledge of pharmacology and cosmetology, from a formulation perspective to patient studies, as she was responsible for clinical trials and consumer relations.

When her industrial experience ended, she was called to teach Pharmacists by the Nobile Collegio Chimico Farmaceutico di Roma, and she became an Academician and Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Since 2010, he has been working in the DERMATOLOGIA PRATI practice, in which he expresses the professional expertise gained from his multiple clinical, industrial, and educational experiences, all aimed at the diagnosis and treatment of skin problems.

Specialized expertise

We diagnose and treat skin-related issues, including:

• Skin neoformations: moles, keratoses, dermatofibromas, pendulous fibromas of the neck and folds (achrochordon), epitheliomas
• The pilosebaceous unit: in excess (hypertrichosis, hirsutism) and in deficiency (hair loss for any reason, alopecia areata, male and female androgenic alopecia)
• Sensitive skin: couperose, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, eczema.
• Keratinization: xerosis, psoriasis
• The sebaceous gland: oily seborrhea, acne prone skin, seborrheic dermatitis, acne vulgaris
• Skin color in excess (melasma, chloasma, lentigo ) and in defect (hypochromia/achromia, pityriasis alba, vitiligo)
• The microcirculation: leg and facial capillaries
• Nail structure: brittle, thickened, discolored nails

Our surgical room is the cornerstone of the practice. In our surgical room we carry out high-quality dermatological surgery procedures with excellent results.

The operating room is equipped to perform dermatologic surgery under local anaesthetic.
